Civil society organizations, federations, and trade unions in Taiz governorate condemn in the strongest terms the cowardly assassination that targeted the life of “Moayad Hamidi,” the director of the World Food Program office in Taiz, while he was in a restaurant in the city of Turbah to eat lunch this afternoon, in addition to injuring a number of citizens.

And as civil society organizations, federations, and trade unions in Taiz governorate* express their deep regret and condolences to the family of the late Moayad Hamidi, his colleagues in the World Food Program and all international and local organizations and bodies working in the relief and humanitarian field, they confirm that the bullets that targeted the deceased targeted the besieged heart of Taiz as a result of the war and the siege. This cowardly incident with the selection of Taiz governorate as a model for the implementation of the transition project for sustainable projects by international organizations. While the civil society organizations, federations and trade unions in Taiz governorate highly appreciate the efforts of international and foreign humanitarian organizations, led by the World Food Program, to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Yemen, and in besieged Taiz in particular, they express their appreciation for all the risks, difficult conditions and huge sacrifices made by these international organizations, bodies and funds to help civilians and victims of conflicts and wars. In the face of this unfortunate event, civil society organizations, federations and trade unions thank Mr. Nabil Shamsan, the governor of the province and head of the security committee, at the emergency meeting of the security committee, and sending a large security campaign to the city of Al-Turbah and the speed of action to uncover the circumstances of the crime, arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice, and do everything that would besiege the crime and protect the security of the citizen and those coming to Taiz from the representatives of international and foreign organizations for an integrated and continuous security plan and preventing and besieging the occurrence of crimes disturbing the tranquility and public security.
