Artistic Heritage Workshop for Students of Al-Jaleel Schools in Taiz Governorate

Under the slogan ” Taiz Heritage is a Shared Responsibility,” #Waeey Organization for Heritage and Development, in partnership with the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Taiz, conducted an artistic workshop titled “How to Preserve Our Heritage” on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, as a part of the school awareness program implemented by Waeey Organization, associated with the project “Restoration Initiative for Al-Qahira Castle Conservation and Cultural Resilience Promotion ” , implemented by Heritage for Peace and the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Taiz, funded by the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (#AFCP).
This awareness program aims to educate students about the heritage and historical landmarks of Taiz Governorate and enhance cultural awareness through a series of educational activities targeting school students in the region.
The artistic workshop has targeted forty students from Al-Jaleel Schools, aiming to enhance their cultural awareness and engage them in activities that promote their cultural identity and familiarize them with their heritage and history. The activities included traditional drawings and cultural segments led by experts in the fields of heritage and archaeology.
This artistic workshop is considered one of the most important activities for developing the awareness of future generations, preparing them for a future enriched with heritage, identity, and history. Participating students expressed their interest and enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of these events in strengthening their connections to their heritage.
At the conclusion of the event, Waeey Organization emphasized the importance of continuing these activities to raise awareness of heritage and preserve it for future generations.
