launching the Training Workshop “Creation of Media Content and Its Role in Promoting Cultural and Historical Identity”
Under the partonage of the Governorator of Taiz Governorate Eng. Rashad Al-Akhali , And the general Mangaer of Almudhaffar district Mohamed Al-Kadahi , Today On Saturday ,January 18, 2025, #Waeey Organization for Heritage and Development, in partnership with the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums Taiz branch , launched a training workshop “Creation of Media Content and Its Role in Promoting Cultural and Historical Identity” as a part of the project “Restoration Initiative for the Historical Al-Qahira castle Conservation and Cultural Resilience promotion ” , implemented by Heritage for Peace Organization in partnership with the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums Taiz branch , and funded by the Ambassador Fund for cultural preservation #AFCP.
The training workshop targeted twenty-five trainees, including activists, journalists, students, and academics concerned with heritage and culture. The aim of this workshop is to integrate the media sector with the cultural, historical, and archaeological sector in Taiz Governorate, directing media voices toward the issue of heritage in Yemen as a whole, and specifically in Taiz. It includes a selection of ambitious young individuals, and through this workshop, we aim to enhance their capacities and raise their cultural #awareness. During the workshop, we will work on raising participants’ awareness on the importance of our rich heritage and training them in writing media content and how to leave valid impact through media.
The workshop was launched in the presence of Under the patronage of the Governorator of Taiz Governorate Eng. Rashad Al-Akhali , And the general Manager of Almudhaffar district Mohamed Al-Kadahi , the Chairman of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums, Mr. Mahbouhb Al-Jaradi, the President of the Waeey Organization for Heritage and Development, and the Head of the Media Department at the Faculty of Arts, University of Taiz, Dr. Muneer Al-Tubaie , and the director of Activities in Taiz University Mrs.Sama Al-Mekhlafi .
